Number of disabled persons in Japan
According to statistics the government released in 2011, there are 3.6 million of physically disabled persons in Japan. Ratio of the physically disabled persons is 2.9% of residents in Japan. There are 0.5 million mentally retarded persons in Japan. The ratio is 0.4% of residents in Japan. Most of them live in their home.
