Pacific sauries are reasonable price edible fish in Japan. We call them "san'ma".

Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications researches the price of Pacific saury every month and calculates the Consumer Price Indexes of saury.
The following figure shows the changes in the price indexes of Pacific saury from 1970 to 2014, if the price in 2010 is taken as 100. The prices are very unstable.
