Changes in the Prices of Oysters in Japan, 1970-2014
Japanese people eat raw oysters or fried oysters.
Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications researches the prices of oysters in the market every month. The following data show the changes in the price indexes of oysters from 1970 to 2014, if the price in 2010 is taken as 100.
These days, the oyster price is rising rapidly. Oyster production was not good in Japan last year due to bad weather or water pollution.
