Changes in the Prices of Short-necked Clams in Japan, 1970-2014

Shells are common foods in Japan. Short-necked clams used to be gathered in seashore across Japan. We call them "asari". But these days, it is hard to find clams in the beach.

Japanese government checks the price of short-necked clams every month. The following data show the changes in the price indexes of short-necked clams between 1970 and 2014, if the price in 2010 is taken as 100. The price is in a rising trend.
