Nikkei press reported 2013 ham and sausage market share in Japan. According to it, 587,201 ton of ham/sausage were consumed in 2013. The total sales were increased by 0.7% from 2012. The top supplier was NH Foods (Nippon Ham). Ham industry Big 4 (Nippon Ham, Itoham, Marudai, Prima) occupies 67.4 % of the share.
