Bonito is a common food in Japan. We call them "katsuo". Japanese government checks the price of bonito monthly.
The following data show the changes in the price indexes of bonito between 1970 and 2014, if the price in 2010 is taken as 100. The bonito price is unstable and it changes widely year by year.
