Professor Chizuko Maruyama of Japan Women's University says people are not eating "green and yellow vegetables", "leafy vegetables", and "seaweed" so much anymore, and it causes decreasing of iron intake (vegetable.alic.go.jp/yasaijoho/joho/1208/joho01.html).
