My office moved to new place. Then my train pass is not necessary any more. I went to a station to get a refund unused period of my train pass. Refund fee was 220 yen ($2.18 €1.56). In order to get the refund, I had to fill-in the application form first. Then I stood in a queue for my turn in the ticket counter. I asked a clerk to refund my pass.
In my case I got a 9600 yen refund.
