Changes in the Price of Refrigerator in Japan, 1970-2014

Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications monitors the price of a refrigerator monthly.

The data below show the changes in the price indexes of refrigerator between 1970 and 2014, if the price in 2010 is taken as 100.

In terms of refrigerator, the ministry adjusts the price index by "Hedonic price index" when they calculates the index. The following graph shows how much money you need, in order to get the same performance (same quality) refrigerator between 1970 and 2014.
