Changes in the Prices of Wheat Flour in Japan, 1970-2014
Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications checks goods prices in the market every month, and calculates the Consumer Price Indexes.
The data below shows the changes in the price indexes of wheat flour between 1970 and 2014. Last year, the wheat price recorded the highest.
Japan depends on imports for most of wheat flour. Recent weaker yen causes the price rise of wheat.
