My daughter bought a study-aid book for civics for 1400 yen. Textbook provided by school is not so thick, does not include the detailed topics. Sometimes it is helpful to have a study-aid book (study guide) to comprehend the subject. Politics, economics, and society are the subjects of civics in junior high school. Students learn civics at 9th grade.  At senior high school students learn politics, economics, ethics, modern society.
