Room Air Conditioner Market Share in Japan, 2015
Nikkei newspaper estimated the 2015 room air conditioner market share in Japan. According to it, Panasonic had the top market share (25.4%). Daikin was the second place. In terms of business use air conditioner, Daikin has the largest market share.
The industry-wide total sales were 8.1 million conditioners in 2015. The sales decreased by 4.7% from 2014.

Refrigerator Market Share in Japan, 2015
The Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association reported that total 3,823 million refrigerators were sold in Japan in 2015. The sales in 2015 decreased by 1.9% from 2014.
According to Nikkei newspaper, the most popular refrigerator was Panasonic product. Panasonic had the largest share (22.7%), followed by Sharp, Hitachi, Mitsubishi and Toshiba. In the refrigerator market, still many manufacturers compete one another.
