Tire Market Share in Japan, 2013
Nikkei press estimated the 2013 tire market share in Japan. The top supplier Bridgestone occupied 46.1% share in 2013. Practically speaking, the Japanese market is occupied by only four manufacturers (Bridgestone, Sumitomo Rubber, Yokohama Rubber, Toyo Tire & Rubber).
Goodyear tires are sold by Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd.
Michelin used to make their tires in Japan until 2010. But Michelin had withdrawn their factory from Japan.
