Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications researches goods prices every month. They calculate the Consumer Price Index based on the research result. The ministry has checked the price of 1kg dried spaghetti since 1985 in the survey.
The following data show the changes in the price indexes of dried spaghetti, if the price of 2010 is taken as 100.
Like other wheat products, the price rose quickly during the 2007–08 world food price crisis.
