Changes in the Price of Electric Rice-cooker in Japan, 1970-2014
Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications monitors the price of a rice-cooker monthly.
The data below show the changes in the price indexes of rice-cooker between 1970 and 2014, if the price in 2010 is taken as 100.
In terms of rice-cooker, the ministry adjusts the price index by "Hedonic price index" when they calculates the index. The following graph shows how much money you need, in order to get the same performance (same quality) rice-cooker between 1970 and 2014.
