Number of Donors After Brain Deaths in Japan, 1996-2015
In 2015, 58 persons donated their organs after the brain deaths. 4 of them were under 15 year-old kids.
Since 2010, if the family member agrees, donation is allowed without the dead person's own explicit consent. 34 brain dead persons donated organs under their family's acceptance.
