Changes in Number of University/College Teachers and Officials in Japan, 1949-2014

Some people say, Japan has been founding new universities/colleges year by year in order to create new jobs for postdoctoral persons.

According to a survey conducted by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the number of college teachers are increasing, like the below. But most of them are part-time teachers.

18 years-old population is decreasing and continues to decrease for decades. Therefore some universities/colleges may close. This situation is very dangerous for teachers of universities/colleges.
