Trend in Calcium Intake, 1975 to 2012, in Japan

According to the national nutrition survey which was conducted by Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, calcium intake among Japanese people is decreasing.

The following data show the trend in daily calcium intake per capita from 1975 to 2012 in Japan.

It is recommended that a person should take more than 650 mg calcium a day. Current intake is far from the target figure.
