Inkjet Printer Market Share in Japan, 2013
I use an old-type Canon printer to make my new-year's post cards. Its price was less than 10,000 yen ($100). Recent years my printer does not print photos well. It cannot reproduce the original color in the photo. I would like to buy new one. What brand should I buy?
An inkjet printer is commonly used as a personal printer. Last year (2013) total 5.8 million printers were sold in Japan.
According to Nikkei Sangyo Shimbun newspaper and Gartner Japan, the market share of inkjet printers in 2013 was the following.

Big 2, Epson and Canon are in rivalry. But the size of the printer market is decreasing. Gartner Japan estimates the inkjet printer market will decrease by 5.2% this year (2014).
