What Pet Does Japanese Have?
Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare conducted a survey about animal protection in 2010. In the survey, the government asked people what kind of pet they have, if they have.
Total 1939 persons answered in the survey, of which 840 persons (34.3%) had pets in 2010. Dog is the most common pet, followed by cat, fish, bird.
