How much do you need to keep cats in Tokyo?

You need approximately 30,000 yen ($300, €212) a year for cat foods. According to the statistics from Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Social Welfare and Public Health in 2012, 33% of cat owners spend 10,000 - 30,000 yen as food expenses of cats.
