Recently, many pet cats in Tokyo have their own toilets/potties. According to a survey which Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Social Welfare and Public Health conducted in Tokyo during 2011-2012, 76.3% of cats have their own dedicated toilets/potties.

Cats used to sleep anywhere they like, whether outdoors or indoors. But these days there are a lot of troubles around cats, for instance, sit in the neighbor's garden, so people keep cats indoors.
