School Trip Expense = 59800 yen ($691.09 €495.04)

My daughter is a junior high school student and will go on a school trip next June. It is a three day trip to Kyoto. She will go Kyoto with her 90 classmates and teachers. A travel agency reserved hotels and trains. I paid 59,800 yen ($691.09 €495.04) to the travel agency as travel expense, like other parents.

When my son went on a school trip of the elementary school last year, its cost was 6000 yen, one tenth cost of the trip of junior high school. At that time the destination was Nikko. Our ward has a recreation facility in Nikko. Students were able to stay at the recreation facility which the residents can use with the reasonable price. I think this is the reason why my son went on the trip with cheaper expense.
