Smoking Rate in Japan 1989-2012
The table below shows smoking rates in Japan. Men's rate is gradually decreasing. Women's rate stays flat. A common cigarette SevenStar costs 440 yen ($4.36 €3.14) per 20 cigarettes. In 1989 SevenStar cost only 220 yen, half of the current price.
