A fine for speeding (high speed penalty) = 9000 - 80000 yen ($96.77 - $860.22 €72.00 - € 640.00 )

In Japan most of the roads have their own limiting speeds. If the limiting speed is 40 km, a driver has to drive by less than 40 km. If you exceed the limiting speed much, you are arrested by a police. When you are caught for speeding and are fined, you have to pay a penalty fee.

It depends on how much speed you exceed the regulation speed.

15km - 20km : 12,000 yen

20km - 25km : 15,000 yen

25km - 30km : 18,000 yen

30km - 35km : 25,000 yen

Fortunately, I do not have a car, I will not be caught.

In Tokyo, having a car is not mandatory. We can live in this city without a car, because other traffic systems work well.
