Gender Ratio by Prefecture in Japan, 2017
The population of Japan in 2017 was 126,706,000. The population of men was 61,655,000 and women's was 65,051,000. The gender ratio was 94.8 (women=100).
The following data show gender ratios by prefecture. Aichi is the only prefecture where men's population is larger than women's. Four years ago, gender ratios of Kanagawa and Saitama were larger than 100, but they dropped to under 100 this time.
